If the thought "Cat Deeley is a Dragon Princess" holds any special meaning or sway for you, then you should read this book. That's right, this book is thinly veiled So You Think You Can Dance fan fiction in an urban fantasy setting. As someone who enjoys SYTYCD more than urban fantasy, this is great fun. The negative reviews are obviously written by people who do not recognize the subtle parodies of Nigel & Mary (and I think Adam Shankman, but I might be wrong on that one).
Yes the pacing is a little off off and the ending feels rushed and unearned, but the structure and characters are still solid, and the SYTYCD in-jokes make this my favorite of the series so far.
