Lion's Heat by Lora Leigh
5.0
Rachel's life is turned upside down, when her daughter is taken from her, and knows there is only one breed who can help her, for his plans are what has caused danger to her daughter in the first place. Jonas, knows that Rachel is his mate, but has refused in claiming her for his own, but now a infant, whom he considers as his own, is put at risk, and will do everything he can to protect them both. Even though Jonas knows that Rachel is part of his destiny, he knows he needs her love, and will fight with every weapon he has in order to have theirs be a loving even though heated bond....only he must convince Rachel of his devotion....
Lions Heat is the 21 in the Breeds series by Lora Leigh. I have read this book when it first came out, but I have been a lot of this series lately, and Lion's Heat has always been one of my favorites to read, and last week I was in the mood to read Lion's Heat, especially since I had yet to do a review for the book. Lion's Heat is a thrilling and intense story filled with heat, intrigue and danger, and a romance of two people that are meant to be but fight to deny it in the process. I just love Jonas, even though he is pure alpha male, but worse is that he is very controlling on every situation and can be very manipulative. However he has met his match with Rachel, who can be just as manipulative, but still has a endearing quality about her, that you can't help but cheer her on. There was such magic to this story that you can't help but keep reading from beginning to end without putting it down. A THRILLING TALE!!!!
My Favorite Quote
The woman was everything he could have wanted in a mate. She was the dream he'd never allowed himself to wish for. This was a temptation he knew he could never allow himself to weaken to. It was a vow. And this small woman was shredding his determination one look, one word, one breath at a time.
