This novella was a fun way to get back into the Ruinous Love Trilogy! I loved that this was told from Sloane's POV and gave us a taste of the next annual August Murder Showdown. I loved seeing how Lachlan and Lark and Fionn and Rose fit into this year's competition. An interesting perspective with the other couples getting involved in Rowan and Sloane's tradition. Another comedic read but no foods were ruined this time! I am excited to see how the returning character plays into Brynne's next book,
