The Dicktionary Club
by Sophie Gravia
To describe this book in one sentence; Sex and the City in 2025.
It’s a real fun exploration of dating today and whilst sometimes heightened for the story purpose, offers an honest and relatable portrayal of the challenges, frustrations, and disappointments women face in today’s dating world.
I really enjoyed the characters. I felt like at least two of them were relatable within every friendship group; each in different situations when it came to their love life. Their boss was a horrible bitch who I longed to be told to ‘f off’ and rejoiced at ‘that’ scene later on!
The ‘Dicktionary’ itself plays a small part of the story and is more about the concept of it happening for the majority of the book, so I feel there is room for a sequel by exploring its place in society. That’ll be fun!
Try not to look too deep into it; it’s a fun story about some flawed friends reclaiming some girl-power.
Enjoyed it overall.
