Spirit Bound by Richelle Mead

4.0

I had to distance myself from this book for a few days before I could review it without going overboard.

Having read this book and waited so long for it I was only disappointed in the length of the book. Mead could make this series stretch out forever and I would follow these characters.

I enjoyed Mead's return to the quick-paced action that I remember from the end of Blood Promise. I was glad to see the trial of the start of Blood Promise was far from present.

This book: WOW. That's W. O. W. !.
The action in this book kicks off right from the start. We barely have time to stop and breathe as we are twisted and turned and spun around within the plot. I enjoyed the complex plot this time and the way that Rose's feelings didn't feel like a writing exercise. The emotions and confusion were real. The tension amongst the characters was believable. I loved almost every thing about this book.

The only thing I did not love: Dimitri. I understand why he is the way he is but that doesn't mean I like it. It seems out of character for him and maybe that's just my own assumption. I don't like it. I'm hoping things change soon enough though.

I don't want this to end. I want to read about these characters until they find their Happily Ever Afters and Beyond.
