Ender's Game
by Orson Scott Card
5 Stars.
Ender's game in more ways the one; or is it really the beginning..hence the series.
This is more a story about humanity and the lack of said humanity when trying to save itself. We follow Enders story as he deals with being bullied, isolated, hated, loved, admired and his own growth. To realize that this was a child being put through the rigors of training is mind-boggling.... but who else could handle it?? Certainly not adults, with their hang-ups, prejudices, and jaded ideas of how the world works. No, only a child could bend so easily, mold and conform; to in the end, win a victory so profound.
Great read. I wonder where do we go from here? What are we to do with what is found? Is it really for the greater good, or a trick? mmmmm....
