I'd like to give this a reread.  My first experience of it was that it had an inconsistent pacing.  Some sections seemed to drag while others were resolved very quickly.  All the characters were flawed and complex, but I often struggled to empathize with Voya's indecisiveness.  I really liked the nuanced portrayal of family and community and the effortless integration of LGBTQIA2S+ representation.  I also liked the magic system and the wonderful and numerous descriptions of food.
