best part of summer so far has been returning to this series and this book. because as good as any romance book is, it will never beat a fantasy book. UNMATCHED I SAY. everything leading up to the last 150 pages was amazing and i loved it. especially the manon & dorian interaction + manon & aelin interaction. BUT those last 150 pages SHOOK ME to my core. chaol’s death being what freed dorian? speechless. SPEECHLESS. lysandra ripping through the valg’s and the soldiers? beautiful. aelin & dorian combining their strength? exquisite. the king being murdered? happiness. this book was bliss, man. it was so goddamn good. it was never boring, and that’s hard to do considering that it’s 650 pages long. can’t wait to read the next book- especially to see elain give aelin what kaltain gave her (man kaltain broke my heart when she sacrificed? herself). also, rowan and aedion calling each other brothers???? so heartfelt and cute. anyway. i’m super excited about them all being in terrassen, and dorian being KING (finally!!!). so excited to start the next book!!!!! :))))))))))
