An amazing and in-depth analysis of the different adaptations of the Monkey King, Sun Wukong, with a succinct and incredibly well-written historical context. This book is exactly what I was looking for as a repository of information and analysis for me to look back into. Really really excited to dig into the bibliography. So intrigued by the tantalizing idea of a Hanuman/Sun Wukong comparison piece. Hongmei Sun I'm your biggest fan.
