Velocity Weapon by Megan E. O'Keefe

adventurous tense medium-paced
This was my first Megan E. O'Keefe book, and it will not be my last. I wasn't sure what to expect going in, so I was in for a pleasant surprise. We follow a few characters, but the main character, Sanda, is so fascinating. We also have more POVs and a snarky AI ship. The author kept me surprised at the plot twists and kept me guessing as to where the story was headed. There was one POV that I didn't care about, especially because I didn't fully understand why she was included in this book, but I feel as though that will be touched upon more in book 2. This book was more light-hearted than I anticipated, but I really enjoyed that. The book was well paced, and I enjoyed the balance of political intrigue and action. It kept me motivated to keep reading. If you want a pacey, engaging space opera, I highly recommend this one!
