I adore the premise of this book but I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would. The characters were hard to connect with, especially Hayley. I didn't like that her brother just bailed her out. I don't think she learned much from her failure. She wasn't very grateful to have everything handed to her. The backstory did not make me sympathetic to her at all. Sure she had a rough beginning but none of her actions made it seem like she rose above it. Her successes seemed to come because of Jonathan and Corey. Also, money appeared to be the answer to the problems. Another thing that irked me was the age difference/timing. It was confusing. Corey is three years older and Jonathan is 5 years older than Hayley but I got confused when you throw in all the skipped grades. Did Hayley and Corey both skip grades or was it only Corey? Another thing I had an issue with was the scholarship money. The whole situation seemed nonsensical. It wasn't realistic. Also, I feel like it should be categorized as erotica and not a contemporary romance. The sex scenes were way too blunt for my liking.
