A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin

4.75

Yes, I finally hopped on the bandwagon. I wasn't going to read the series till I was sure all the books were finished, but... here I am anyway.

I really admire Martin's ability to completely suck you into a world. It's been a long time since I've read any fantasy, but this series reminds me why I love the genre. I'm so fascinated by the world created here and I can't wait to learn more about it. I also appreciate the level of realism; even though I'm still rooting for the good guys, it's good to see that they don't always win all the time, just like real life.

Onto book 2!
