Man, this was a journey.
I almost overlooked The Kaiju Preservation Society, but the good reviews made me pick it up. I'm really glad I did.
Scalzi excels at humor, relatability, and authenticity. He made me care about the characters and their struggles and have fun while doing so.
Pacing was an issue with this novel and I do think the characters struggled to have their own voices, but overall, The Kaiju Preservation Society was. really fun sci-fi romp.
