It was ok
I believe this is the first book by Kristen Callihan that I have not thoroughly enjoyed. I found it a little boring. It did not seem to be her usual writing style. With her other books, I was glued to them. Totally invested. This one was not that. I was able to put it down and go about my day. I loved Emma. She was beautiful on the inside and on the outside. She was funny, snarky and just an overall likable character. Lucien seemed to be a big ole wimp. It was poor pitiful me. And the way he kept being hot and cold to Emma, not in a good way, just got on my nerves. I loved both their histories but where Emma pulled up her big girl panties, Lucien kept laying in his bed sucking his thumb. It was irritating. Not the best male lead. I did love Brommy, Sal and Amalie.
