The Long Game by Jennifer Lynn Barnes

4.0

So, I really need to start writing reviews immediately after I finish the book, because I keep forgetting my thoughts. I read this book right before Thanksgiving and I work retail... so to say I’ve had a lot going on, is an understatement. So here are the thoughts that I have when remembering back to this book.

I absolutely adored Asher in this book. He was so much funnier and I feel I was able to really understand him more as a character than in the previous book.

This sequel was what I was hoping that the first book would’ve been. In this book, Tessa is more established in being a “fixer.” In the first book I was hoping she would’ve embraced the talent and had a lot of confidence rather than being timid.

Ok, now time for spoilers.

Spoiler This book was a lot better than the first! There was a lot more personal drama, which I prefer, rather than political strategy. I totally thought that Tessa’s dad would make a big appearance though, as a twist. I was thinking that it was going to be him I’m charge of the terrorits.
And OMG I knew I didn’t like Henry. 😒
I’m just so confused by that ending, is there supposed to be a third book??
