Greg and Tasha used to date in high school, fifteen years ago to be exact. While they didn’t end on bad terms they very rarely see each other, despite their families being close. One Christmas, Greg is volunteered by his mother to give Tasha a ride home to both their hometowns. After a snowstorm leads them stranded, they start to dissect why they broke up and if they could still work.
This was a short and breezy holiday romance! I thought the banter and chemistry were good, but the circumstances around their rekindling love were off for me. They barely spend any time together after breaking up in college FIFTEEN years ago, and almost immediately realize they still have feelings. Like, sure, but those missing years are formative ones. I don’t believe you know each other at all anymore. Perhaps this is just due to the novella nature, but I think this would have been a lot better if given more time to breathe.
