A wonderful conclusion to the story of Mara in the Riftwar Cycle. She is one of my favourite heroines using her wits and great mine to best her enemies while being led by her heart and conscience. 

I love how the plot twists and turns and the Empire of Tsuranuani itself is like a character that changes for the better.
