Sing, Unburied, Sing by Jesmyn Ward

I can’t say I liked this book because it was sad and hard to experience from start to finish, but I appreciate how well it was written and the window into the experience of Blacks in rural America. I’m not super keen on ghost stories but I have read other books that have highlighted the importance of ghosts in Black culture so I thought it was an interesting approach to include as characters in the story, even as one of the narrators.
