The Assassin's Curse by Cassandra Rose Clarke
3.0

Maybe I'll give this one a full review at a later date. Ah, who am I kidding??

So much potential. Middling execution.

While I loved the idea behind the characters and their relationship and the tricksy curse, I didn't find myself immersed in the story and connecting with the characters as I like to be/do.

Content: Innuendo, swearing, etc.

But anyways, just editing this review to explain that I will most likely not be reading le sequel, [b:The Pirate's Wish|15714476|The Pirate's Wish (The Assassin's Curse, #2)|Cassandra Rose Clarke|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1352903412s/15714476.jpg|21383294], despite originally intending to, because I had wanted to see more of the characters as well as being interested to see where the story went. But alas,
Spoiler I heard from reliable sources that the characters go a bit, well, annoying. As well as ruining one of the better aspects of this one, namely the romance. Which was light and a breath of fresh air. Not even a kiss! And then the author had to go and ruin it for many of us by sticking in a random sex scene in the sequel. Oh, joy.
