enjoyable novella, if for nothing more than the historical relevance. a little bit hard to understand at times but mostly due to the writing being era specific (obviously) which just in general i think is harder for a more modern reader to comprehend. looked up a lot of words (a great book to read on ebook if only for the ease of defining words) which gave the whole experience a more "academic" vibe than reading for pleasure (even though i was definitely reading for pleasure). 

i do wish some of the world/characters had perhaps been a bit fleshed out, but overall i'm glad i finally got around to reading this!
