Forgiving Lies by Molly McAdams
3.0

Why did I like this seemingly ordinary book? Because it was simple, and it stayed simple. There is nothing I hate more than a book that starts off simple and becomes overly complicated by the end.
The only thing I did not like about this book were the bitchy bestfriend (I don't care what I go through, if my bestfriend doesn't have my back then we're not best friends or even friends in that matter), and how fast Rachel and Kash felt about each other. I understand there were time skips but for me, a month is not enough time for me to believe that you love each other and I don't believe in love at first sight, so all in all the romance just didn't feel real enough for me. Yet, I really enjoyed the simplicity of it but it would have been better if their love wasn't built just because of the convenience of them being neighbors. It probably would have been better if they were investigating and realized the killer was at the school so they would have to start there and investigate more and they ran into each other and attended classes together...blah blah blah lol but it was set in the summer sooo....
So I do not recommend this book if you're looking for a deep romance but if you're looking for something cute then this is it.
I will go ahead and read the second one because I always finish what I start.
