All done with my reread about 10 years from my initial read! And of course still no news of a 6th book release date has come out. :/

I must say that this has to have been my least favorite ASOIAF books. On my first read this title belonged to A Feast for Crows, which I loved upon reread but this one was just a huge drag for a big part of it.

I did this on audio book on my reread and it was a 50 hour long audio book. So that definitely added to the drag but on the other hand A Storm of Swords is about the same length and in that book there is pretty much constantly tension an excitement going on. Sadly the same can't be said for this book.

There were still parts I loved mainly the continuation of Theons arc and of course the return of Tyrion which his absence in the previous book was my biggest complain upon my first read. Otherwise a lot of stuff in this book just isn't great mainly Danys arc just dragging out for so long with not that much actually happening.

It is kinda funny that I was a Dany fan on my first read and was mainly annoyed by Cersei. And now the tables have completely flipped with Cersei probably being my 2nd favorite character in the series and Dany just annoying me like crazy.

So with all this being said. My new ranking of ASOIAF books would be as following:

A Storm of Swords > A Feast for Crows > A Clash of Kings > A Game of Thrones > A Dance with Dragons
(or shorter: 3>4>2>1>5)
