Talia, the female chatterbox lead, is struggling, having broken up with her cheating ex-fiancé but under pressure from her religious parents to forgive him and get back together because she gave him her virginity. She’s cut and dyed her hair to start the reinvention process but she’s still very trepidatious as she boards the plane to go “home”.

Jagger, the male mechanic/professional Dom lead, is on the plane to go to a convention. He’s bemused and a little frustrated to be stuck next to Talia when he likes peace and silence. When a snowstorm stops them taking off, Jagger is left relying on Talia to drive him back to his car - which he left at his club and where they get stuck as the snowstorm worsens…

Talia has never had a chance to explore her sexuality. Jagger has no interest in initiating a newbie. But he’s drawn to her innocence and vulnerability, feeling protective and wanting to provide her with a safe space. As he helps build her self-confidence and assertiveness, Talia cares for him more and more, but Jagger is sure he’s not good for her, regardless of what he might want…

This story is dual POV, well written, and a contemporary, erotic, opposites attract romance. It has plenty of triggers listed by the author at the beginning of the story, many of which led to highly emotional exchanges between the characters and allowed for deep personal growth on both their parts. I enjoyed seeing Talia grow more confident in who she was and what she wanted AND that she had the right to ask for what she wanted. I enjoyed Jagger’s grudging awareness that he could like/want someone so entirely different to him. I enjoyed their erotic intimate scenes, and Jagger’s careful guidance of Talia’s exploration of what she desired, and his insistence on consent and consideration. This is actually NOT my preferred flavour of kink but I really appreciated the organic development of the characters’ relationship and balance, and how much THEY enjoyed their interactions. I adored the secondary character interactions and the banter between all characters. I enjoyed, particularly, the way Talia pushed Jagger verbally. I enjoyed the setup for at least one future story and the cameos of characters from past stories and their relationships.

I received a complimentary copy from the author and this is my voluntary honest review.
