The Golden Yarn by Cornelia Funke

4.0

I love this book, however I don't think I like it as much as the previous two. It delved into Russian fairytales which I liked, but then there was a love triangle. However, it was not as bad in this book as they are in other books, but it made me like it less than I would have.
Also, i got a bit confused as to who some of the characters were because I took such a long break between books, and the cliffhanger really wasn't fun.
But, I absolutely love the mirrorworld and how it's not technologically devoid and just the depth of world building and the multiple layers of all the characters. You think someone's bad, but in the end you wknd up rooting for him because you're able to spot the good in them.
Overall, it's a good book and this series is definitely worth reading.
