Benedict’s interpretation of Hedy Lamarr’s inner thoughts feels so shallow. The writing itself is average. I’m disappointed that Benedict
focused so heavily on Lamarr’s early film “Ecstasy”
. The author also kept using the men in Lamarr’s life as a lense through which to view her. The only thing that got me through this was learning a little about Hedy Lamarr’s background. Would not recommend.
