man this book was fantastic. while parts of it felt less like a horror book and more like a tragedy, i feel like the real horror of this book lied in the reality of it all. the afterward is really important and i feel like it shed a light on a lot of the (very real) topics discussed in this book. just as a warning though, pleaseeee look up trigger warnings before giving this a read because it's (in my opinion) a lot darker than a lot of horror that i've read (in a way that could be very triggering). i loved it though!! very unsettling and morbid, but i'll be thinking about this book for a while.
