Forest Euphoria: The Abounding Queerness of Nature
by Patricia Ononiwu Kaishian
emotional
informative
inspiring
reflective
relaxing
medium-paced
This book is one that on first read-through I could tell was going to become one of my very favorite nature memoirs, along with the books of Lewis Thomas & Henry Beston.
Made me think a lot about what I found in nature in my childhood as a queer kid, and what I find in it now as a queer adult and what I give back to it. Made me think about AIDS/HIV epidemic and disabled & queer bodies and culture as a site of ecological, communal collapse of a way of being.

Graphic: Child abuse, Sexual assault
Moderate: Genocide, Pandemic/Epidemic
Minor: Drug use
