Vicious Cycle by Katie Ashley
5.0
I received Vicious Cycle as an ARC in exchange for an honest review...
and I also bought it because it's greatness brought to paper by Katie Ashley!
This was my first 'darker' read by Katie and I was absolutely blown away!
Alexandra is such a strong heroine, her devotion to teaching and her strong bond with Willow made me love her instantly.
She takes teaching and caring to another level, even so far that she begins teaching at a clubhouse, which isn't her favourite place to be, nor her second favourite or favourite at all.
Her efforts to help Willow are what real teachers sadly often lack, so reading this book made if even sweeter and so much more.
David, or Deacon as his club calls him, isn't very fond of her in the beginning, seeing as the 'stiff' teacher rather reminds him of CPS or a fed, but warms to her as he sees the lengths through which the goes to show Willow how much there is to learn and see.
Being a new parent to a little girl isn't how Deacon would have imagined his year to be spent, but Willow being Willow, again she is A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E, wrapped him around her little fingers (all of them).
Willow, adorableness wrapped in a sweet girl with her 'Angel Mommy' doll, has seen too much in her short life and isn't quite how and who to be.
With the help of her Miss Alex she connects to her father, who honestly doesn't have a clue how to parent, learns a bit about dancing and about opening her beautiful mind to her surroundings and loved ones.
Deacon is quickly possessive of Alex, but his gruff exterior turns her off until she recognizes that he's not as bad as she thinks all bikers are.
What I loved most about this book, though, is that this book is so much more than a biker romance, it's about a lost child, painful pasts and the best bonus?
KATIE ASHLEY DEDICATED HER BOOK TO HER LOVELY DAUGHTER (Yes, I stalk on facebook... a little bit)!!!
Congratulations on your small bundle, I hope you will both enjoy each other's company for a long time and experience an amazing journey!
PS: I will edit this review as soon as I've re-read this book, it's been quite a while and I want to write it more detailed and more orientated.
