Destiny Came Knocking by Cindy Roland Anderson

3.0

I kind of went into this one with low expectations. Not that I thought it would be bad, but I wasn't expecting it to knock my socks off. And I think my initial assessment was probably spot on.

Piper meets her neighbour Gabe after his dog ruins her breeding business. What follows is them forming a friendship which turns into more.

I thought the relationship between Gabe and Piper was fine, but to be honest I'm tiring of this insta-love/insta-connection in romance books. Wouldn't it be nice if just once, sure both parties notice the other is attractive, but doesn't feel that means they have to pursue this other person. Wouldn't it be nice to form that wonderful friendship first then change their view. It didn't bother me overly much in this book but I really didn't love it.

In any case it was a perfectly fine read but I didn't connect with it - so 3 stars it is.
