For a comic published in the late 80’s, there’s not much to be expected from the content of this. Wally West, while a loveable character, objectifies women constantly.
The only BIPOC in this run are either cops or villains, and the representation isn’t common.
Messner-Loebs’ final four issues are much better written than Baron’s, tying up lose ends that left questions and fixing up poor pacing. Overall a decent read, but it is very hard to get into, and has become a victim of time.
