I had never heard of this Series of books until I was asked to read them as an Advance reader copy with the hopes I would like it and review it.
Madison seems like the girl next door, small town cheerleader with a football player for a boyfriend. So in love with Beau that she is waiting for him to pick a College so she will know where to apply. Then as often happens in Oklahoma, bad weather, a tornado hits.
She uses her gifts to protect her best friend but in doing so tragedy befalls Beau ... can she survive this? How can she make sure this never happens again? She goes to La Voisin, a school for witches to learn to harness her Gifts. She learns there is so much more to her than parlor tricks and minor abilities. She also gets what could be the worst roommate ever, best new friends ever and the worst situation ever all in the span of a few months!
