This was a really sweet romance (dark romance lover here so I am bias) with adorable characters. I loved the mains and their relationship with each other. I loved the friendships in this as well as the siblinghoods. This would probably be a 4.5 star book if not for

a major "secret" not being revealed to the Oakley. I'm pretty sure he knows but Loren, his love interest does not nor his family. I don't like that, at all. It's something that should not have been left untalked about. Loren can't be sure Oakley loves and accepts 100% of him if Oakley doesn't know 100% of him. Frustrating. Also the way some things were written were a little weird, as of the author forgot they previously said something along the lines of it so they did it again. I also disliked how Oakley didn't get told anything about Loren's mom. So much wasn't put in. It makes me wonder and hope this isn't a standalone but from the way the series page and title of next book is I doubt that.
