I’ve never had the experience of saying “this is my new favorite book” before I’d even finished reading, but I did that with Lessons in Chemistry. This book is emotional and delightful, filled with characters and situations that give the reader hope in the world despite characters and situations that spark indignation and outrage. Garmus’ writing voice is unique and witty, and the characters she creates are brilliant in every sense.
