The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky

5.0

Charlie is the most sympathetic character I've ever read. I see reviews say "it's just a bunch of kids trying to get through high school, boring!" But I'm like "it's just a bunch of kids trying to get through high school, fascinating!" The characters and experiences felt very real to me and true to my own high school experiences. Maybe if you had different experiences this book would feel unrealistic, but it felt very real to me. Big things happened and we just dealt with it and moved onto the next Big thing. And Charlie is my favourite. And Sam.
