The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins

“Well, as they said, it's not over until the mockingjay sings.”

3.5 stars.

I honestly didn't care to read it at first because, as much as I loved THG trilogy as a teenager, who would care that much about Snow to read a whole book devoted to him?
Buuuut I actually really enjoyed it. Took me a while to separate the trilogy and the prequel, as I would've been disappointed if I had expected anything similar.

It is a great villain "origin" story, but no, don't expect to sympathyze with him.
