CW: alcoholism, murder, death, some spooky shit, voyeurism (not in a sexual way) This was a wild ride. I legit got full body chills in some parts of this. You know how sometimes when there is a supernatural element to the story, it just gets kind of….contrived and weird? I was worried about that happening with this book, but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised.
Just when I thought I had it figured out, there was quite a twist to turn things upside down…and just when I thought I recovered and had *that* figured out, BOOM - twisted again.
There is heavy alcoholism in this, so if you’re sensitive to that kind of thing, be advised it’s a key player in the story.
