Jo’s work explores love & heartache & home in three sections themed by color: orange, green, and purple. While reading “Marigold,” I felt like I was in a field with the poet, heavy with doubt. In “Jungle,” I traversed a dreamscape with our dear narrator and finally found solid ground again with them in “Orchid.”

Jo’s work is both deeply personal and deeply relatable as our narrator navigates heartache, confusion, doubt, second chances, and finally finds strength and solid ground.
