โLove is never part of the problem.โ
I was sold when I heard the male MC, Cameron, gave readers Roy from Ted Lasso vibes. Roy was my main reason for watching (and loving TL). There were definite Roy vibes given - especially in the audiobook. If youโve read this, do you agree? I loved the chapters that were from Cameronโs point of view especially if those chapters involved him talking to his cats or the chickens ๐
There was SO much potential to The Long Game, but ultimately, it just fell flat for me. It took so long ( I know I know the name of the game) for anything to happen in the book. Then, when it finally started to pick up speed, the dreaded miscommunication and third-act break-up tropes reared their ugly heads, and the story never really grabbed my attention again.

I recommend The Long Game to anyone looking for a slow-building story with a bit of romance. Although this book is not for me, I look forward to reading more from Armas.
