I had a great time with a lot of these stories. The Emperors Soul was a standout for me and would likely be a 4 or 5 star if taken individually. In being a collection of short stories, there are bound to be less interesting ones mixed in with some pieces of gold, so it being a 3 star read to me makes sense.
