Ryleigh and Stone are focused. Ryleigh is an ADA in Chicago and lives to work whereas Stone is an NHL hockey captain in Nashville at the top of his game. They don't have anything in common and if it weren't for a wedding between their families they never would've met. There shouldn't be any reason for them to see each other again but the attraction is instant and Stone isn't going to let Ryleigh go without a fight.

Stone is cocky and charismatic and doesn't really take no for an answer. He is pretty single-minded in pursuing a relationship with Ryleigh who has sworn them off. I loved the banter between the two and their chemistry is explosive. Their relationship develops pretty fast and they both hurt one another in not communicating properly but they do get their HEA eventually through compromise and self-sacrifice.

There is a huge ensemble of characters who you can get to know in previous series'. This is the second generation with siblings and cousins and other extended family so the backlist is extensive and without reading all of those first it can be a little tricky to keep everyone straight in your mind.

I enjoyed my first Natasha Madison read and I'm sure it won't be my last.
