I’m not sure what I was expecting but a frustrating coming of age story wasn’t it. I can’t say I loved the characters, but when I remember back to high school, I realized they were pretty accurately portrayed. I always say I never want to go back to my teenage years and this book reminded me why. I do enjoy Moreno-Garcia’s writing…just wished this book had a little less adolescence and a little more magic.
