The Secrets of Love Story Bridge by Phaedra Patrick

3.0

Audio book review.

An odd story that didn't quite grip me. I think maybe there was too much happening at once. Plenty of charm, but then some family mystery as well. I think the blossoming love story is charming, and watching how Mitchell interacts with his daughter was interesting. I wanted more of both and a sort of expansion on the grief Mitchell is still wading through. I found the fact he works on bridges where these locks are causing damage was a nice parallel, because he eventually wanted to lock his own on. However, the whole subplot with the girl he rescued and how she's been missing for over a year, that just didn't quite fit nicely with the rest of the book. Overall a fine story, but not super memorable.
