After having read the "Girls Survive" take on 9/11, I found this book to be better at conveying the horror and fear experienced that day, especially through the eyes of firefighters. I also really appreciated the perspective of how damaging a sport like football can be, even to those playing as children, yet that messaging is somewhat flawed, as in the end even younger kids are playing football. Regardless, I appreciated this fictionalized depiction of the events for young readers, and how it didn't hold back.
