The Queen of the Tearling
by Erika Johansen
4.8 stars.
I was kind of in a fantasy slump recently and I have been reading disappointing books lately. So I was surprised by this book and I honestly had a hard time at the beginning because it progressed so slowly but I enjoyed the book so much. I loved Kelsea as the main character, she was a very smart and strong protagonist. The plot and the world building is interesting and I am excited to see what the rest of the trilogy offers.
My only compliant is that it was dragging at times and I wished the plot progressed a little faster.
