Couldn’t quite give it 5 stars because it was really slow and hard to get into the beginning for me.
But once it picked up I couldn’t put it down! Especially once I found out it is based on a real person and her diary! This book has left a lasting impression and a reminder of how far women have come, and how similar our society still is to that of the 1700s. Really cool (and frustrating) to read about the justice system when our country was so young. So thankful her story lives on when it would’ve been erased by history.
