Great pacing, great story, thought out characters that keep developing. I love Aelin so much, I love how badass she is, but how she is also so soft and tender and kind. I'm not 100 % about the new love interest, I liked the dynamic before, but towards the end I also kind of started liking them (meaning I will probably be obsessed by the next book). Plot twist are unexpected BUT MAKE SENSE, which is so rare. Dorian's story literally killed me, I enjoyed Manon's character, I was so annoyed with Chaol and then ended up forgiving him haha, don't get me started on Rowan and Aedion and KALTAIN OHMYGOD. Arobyn's storyline? LYSANDRA??? The only reason I am cutting half a star is cause I haven't cried hahaha and I am very strict with 5 star reads, but besides some parts being a little bit cringy in terms of writing (and Rowan sometimes reminding me of Rhys a lil too much) I have nothing bad to say. I really enjoy the way Sarah writes and she keeps proving it. So many good & complex characters and an incredible story about pain, second chances, forgiveness, acceptance, connection. I enjoyed the first 3, but I would say this one is by far the best.
