Specter by Susan Kaye Quinn

I want to thank the author for providing me with a copy of this episode to read and review. Receiving it for free has in no way altered my opinion or review.

Where to start with this? First I'll say that this one ends and you're like, huh? I mean, I tapped the screen on my Kindle and there wasn't a next chapter and I actually said "Susan you suck!" LOL! But it's not in a bad way. I absolutely love this series, just as much as the first season.

We get a little more of Wraith (Lexy) here. I think what I loved most about this episode is how she exerted her power in the board room. She showed that she was not only able to handle herself surrounded by the most powerful people in her father's company, but she is also able to show them she's not just willing to sit back as they try and bring it down.
You also see her fear. The fear of loving someone. The fear of people finding out what she really is. And the fear of dying before she can bring those to justice that need to be brought to justice.

I can't really go into much with this episode (I don't want to spoil things for readers) but I can say that it was a great follow-up to the first and the readers will not be disappointed in the least. I love how Quinn is slowly introducing new characters, as she did with Lirium's season. I'm also quite intrigued to find out exactly what Gehenna is and what they expect of Wraith. I am not sure if they are somewhat on the good side, or are just using it to do illegal things. I'm itching to know NOW!

Not only is the story totally sucking me in, but Quinn's writing continues to be phenomenal (as is all her writing, so pick up her other stuff, too!). Her descriptions are done so well you can actually picture yourself there in each scene. I feel more like I am experiencing things as a Debt Collector rather than a reader and I LOVE that.

Can't wait for the next episode.
