I listened to this book via audible at 2x speed and even so it wasn't fast enough. I guess it gives a good introduction to kids what life in medieval times was like but the story just wasn't that exciting. I'm not sure if I will read books 2 and 3 or just get them off my shelves to make room for better books. I've read one other of Avi's books, The secret diary of Charlotte Doyle and I remember liking it but this was just blaw.
