this single-handedly ruined me for days. i will be sobbing for the next few weeks.
from the very first chapter on, i knew i would come to love this book. khaled hosseini has a way with words that truly stuns me. his prose is beautiful.
on top of that, he strings characters together so achingly perfect. amir is such a complex character that after all you can't help but feel sympathy for. i need not get started on hassan.
a truly gorgeous book about the complexities of friendship, the echoing effects of the choices you made, and the ever-haunting guilt that grips your throat for decades later.
