Sally's Lament by Mari Mancusi is the 19th published Twisted Tale. Unfortunately, the Libby app doesn't have Set in Stone (15), Suddenly Super (16), or Princess of Thieves (18) so I'm missing a few.
Sally's Lament is the Nightmare Before Christmas Twisted Tale: What if Sally Discovered Christmas Town? The book opens at the end of Halloween night when Jack sings his lament in the graveyard, except this time Sally falls over and Jack discovers her. They spend the night getting to know each other, and after Jack leaves Sally is reluctant to go back to Dr. Finklestein's lab and be grounded for sneaking out all night when she obviously "isn't ready" for that kind of freedom. Instead, she follows Zero into the woods worrying that he is going to get lost. Of course, she wanders into the holiday trees and has her great adventure she always looked for.
Christmas Town! Where everyone is super nice to the visiting Sally... weirdly nice... so nice it's almost spooky. And where is Zero? He jumped into this sparkly sweet world and she can't leave without him.
